D - Dallas Green - "Comin Home" guitar tab and chords
Printer friendly version :: Total views: 5532
Title: Comin' Home
Artist: Dallas Green (City and Colour)
Album: Sometimes

Amazing song by Dallas Green. I saw a lot of tabs out there, but I kept finding one
thing wrong with them. I'll post the rest of the song first though.

Capo on 2nd fret; chords all relative to capo.

It's mainly just one riff with a couple of variations in picking and little extra jigs
that he does.

Intro

Note: The intro riff is played at random times during the song.

e|----0--------------------|
B|----3/53p0--------------|
G|--------------2/42p0----|
D|-------------------------|
A|-------------------------|
E|-------------------------|

From then on, the main chords played through the entire song are:

e|-----0000-----00000000-------------0/00----------|
B|-----0000-----333331111p0-----------0/00----------|
G|-----0000-----00000000-------------0/00----------|
D|---0h2222-----444442222-------------2/44----------|
A|---0h2222-----555553333-------------3/55----------|
E|-----0000-----00000000-------------0/00----------|

Note: The pull off you see on 032010 does not always happen. Also, the same with the
 slide between 023000 and 045000.

Repeat that for the whole song except for the bridge.

And this is the part that I kept seeing everybody tab wrong. In all the videos that you
can see him playing it, this is what he plays for the bridge.

He plays it very softly and with a different strumming pattern than the rest of the song.
Sometimes he'll slide between the two chords, but not every time. Listen to figure it
out perfectly. I'll tab the slide I think he does almost every time though.

e|----000-0---000--0000---000-0/00-0-----------------|
B|----333-3---333--1111---111-1/33-3-----------------|
G|----000-0---000--0000---000-0/00-0-----------------|
D|----444-4---444--2222---222-2/44-4-----------------|
A|----555-5---555--3333---333-3/55-5-----------------|
E|----555-5---555--3333---333 5/55-5-----------------|

He then plays the intro picking part before going back into a doubled chorus.

And that's it!

Last, if you want to post this elsewhere, go ahead, but you MUST GIVE ME CREDIT FOR IT.

I'd appreciate advice, being that this is my first tab. PLEASE rate it!
