HEY DUDE
(intro)
Gm, Bb, C, Csus4, C
Gm Bb C Csus4 C
All I have is all I need enough for love but not for greed yeah
(same as above:)
I was younger once this guy came to me told me about all the honey out there
He said 'honey gold jewels money women wine cars that shine'
I don't know what he was talking about but I think I had an idea
He said 'smell the rose, sweet sweet rose, catch the sun find where it grows,
Smell the rose, the sweet rose that grows on castle walls in heaven',
In heaven yeah
Well if it feels like summer you're catching the sun, and I'm
catching the moment you fall,
If it tastes like honey don't swallow it all,
don't wait for the moment to come
Eb7 F7
And catch the sun
(chorus)
C Eb F Bb
Hey dude, don't lean on me man
F Bb Eb F
Cause I'm losing my direction and I can't understand, no no no
C Eb F Bb
Hey dude, well I do what I can
F Bb Eb F
But you treat me like a woman when I feel like a man
Verse:
Gm Bb C Csus4 C
I was crossing the city one day, everybody was flashing by me
Like images of tombstones, images of tombstones,
On a Friday night I've seen everybody looking for their little bit of honey
To alleviate the pain, to alleviate the pain
Well if it feels like summer don't burn in the sun,
don't wait for the evening fall,
If it tastes like honey don't swallow it all,
don't wait for the moment to come
Eb7 F7
And catch the sun
(chorus)
C Bb A Ab
No, n no, n no, n no, n no, n no, n no, n no, n no no, n no
C Bb A Ab
I can't understand... when I feel like a man, sing it to me honey!

Song Map-->Intro, Intro part 2, Verse, Intro Part 2(A once then B),
Pre-chorus, Chorus, Verse, Pre-Chorus, Chorus, Bridge, Breakdown riff,
solo, "catch the sun" chords, Chorus X3, End
Intro--start on the 1st fret of the low e string and kinda bend the
string and slowly slide up the fret board. Real slow. Play around with
the vibrato bar too. Essentially, just create chaos. Then, click on
your wah and mute for a bit. Then there is that quick break. All you
do is slide up your E string and then down the a string from about the
14th fret. This happens at about 0:18 into the song. Then....
Intro part 2
A. Repeat 2X
e-------------------------------------------------------
b-------------------------------------------------------
g-----12------10------9-------9----10----9h10p9--
d-----10------10------10-----10---10----10--------
a-------------------------------------------------------
E-------------------------------------------------------
Then...
B. Repeat 2X
e-----11-------11---------------------------------------
b-----11-------11---------------------------------------
g-----12-------10-------9-------9----10----9h10p9--
d-----10-------10-------10-----10---10----10--------
a----------------------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------------------------
Verse--Essentially you just alternate between G minor and C. Use
the top three strings. Play around a bit. There isn't much going on
with the guitar at this point. Try this. You can hear where it comes
on the recording("Smell the rose, smell the sweet...)
e-----3-----3-----3-----3-----
b-----3-----3-----3-----3h5--
g-----3-----3-----3-----3h5--
Also, right when Crispian starts singing...
e--------------------------------
b-------------------------3-----
g-------------------------3-----
d--------------------------------
a------------------3-------------
E-----3-----1-------------------
After the line, "that grows from castle walls in heaven", back to intro
part 2. Play A once and then B once then into the pre-chorus...
Pre-Chorus Gm-->F-->C-->F high up on the fretboard. Here's how I play
it...
e-----10-------------------------------
b-----11-----10-----8-------10------
g-----12-----10-----9-------10------
d-----12-----10-----10------10------
a-----10------8---------------8-------
E---------------------8----------------
"Catch the sun..." Simply Eb7 then F7
e-----6-----8-----
b-----8-----10---
g-----6-----8-----
d-----8-----10---
a-----6-----8-----
E------------------
Chorus C--Dm7--Eb--Bb--F--Bb--F. The switch from the Eb to the Bb is
rather quick. The bass plays something different, but the Dm7 is
definitely in there, so don't let it throw you.
e--------------------------------------------------------
b------------6-----8-----6-----10------6------10-----
g-----5----- 5-----8-----7-----10------7------10-----
d-----5------7-----8-----8-----10------8------10-----
a-----3------5-----6-------------8--------------8------
E-------------------------6--------------6--------------
Bridge Ab--Bb. Then C--Bb--A--Ab. Repeat the 4 chords again. I'm not
gonna tab out the chords(except for the Ab) cause I've already have
written out all of them at some point in this tab. I would recommend
playing them lower on the fret board though. It gives it a better sound
and gives you a little varitaion. Don't play them open though, except
for the A.
Ab
e-----4---
b-----4---
g-----5---
d-----6---
a-----6---
E----4----
Breakdown riff(Repeat 2X)
e---------------------------------------------------------------
b---------------------------------------------------------------
g---------------------------------------------------------------
d------5----3-----------------------------3-------------------
a------------------3------------3-----5--------5----3---------
E-----------------------6p3------------------------------6-----
Ending C--Dm7--Eb--F--C
