he's got some weird effect going on in here - i think it might be  
some kind of whacked flange. i have an ibanez chorus/flange pedal, 
and if i set it up to "whacked" mode (it's seriously called that), and 
put it to flange, and set it to half speed, full depth, full delay, 
and half regen, i get an effect similar to this. (i did that from 
memory. any of you with ibanez chorus/flange's decide to try it,  
don't sue me if i said that wrong. just be happy with the damn tab.
